SeeSaw!

Hi Room 13 Families.

I have posted many new photos to our SeeSaw account.  Instructions for how to log in to this new blogging platform were sent home in folders a few weeks back.  Please email me if you have misplaced your login information as you won't want to miss your child's first post or our recent classroom posts sharing what's been going on in Room 13!  Our first ever class digital book was also shared via SeeSaw this week.  Going forward, welcometoroom13.blogspot.com pages will be updated as needed (see tabs across the top of our home page) but all photos will be posted through the SeeSaw app.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Bring on the Parade!

How lucky were we to have such beautiful Fall weather for our parade????

Here we are just before the Halloween parade!  Great costumes everyone. 

The Cutest Little Pumpkins 2!

We learned the poem Five Little Pumpkins. We made puppets and took turns putting on mini puppet shows for our classmates. Be on the lookout for this poem in our poem notebooks this week.

We Read Pumpkin Head. The jack-o-lanterns in this book are very original. We tried to do the same!  How did we do?

Thank You Mrs Boylan!

Mrs Boylan, Ally’s Mom, came to visit Room 13 in honor of fire safety week. She is a fire fighter in Natick. We learned about testing our smoke detectors at home and tried on some of Mrs Boylan’s gear. Mrs Boylan gave all of us fire helmets and safety badges.  Thank you for coming to visit us Mrs Boylan!

Comparing Folktales

Ms Galvin has been teaching us about folk heroes from America and around the world. We have read Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan and John Henry to name a few. Here we are sharing our posters comparing the similarities and differences between Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan.
