Valentine Celebration!

We made heart caterpillars, opened Valentines from each other, had heart stacking races, and of course, ate yummy snacks!  Thanks for coordinating such a nice party Room Moms!

Hard at work editing!!

We used editing labels to make sure our chosen stories were ready to share.  We are building up quite a collection of books for our end of year writing celebration!

Center Work!

Here are Grace and Matthew hard at work building -ng and -nk words. We are becoming great spellers!

Happy Belated Valentines Day!!

Thank you for sending in all the Valentines for our classmates and ourselves!  We have had many admirers stop by our display. Your child's Valentine will be sent home shortly. I hope you enjoy sharing them together. They really are keepsakes!

Have you heard of Pebble Go?

Mrs. Groden introduced us to the Pebble Go research data base in library.   We have been exploring the database in class during booktime.  There are so many topics to learn about!!  We can listen to articles, watch short videos, read about topics and look at pictures.  Here is Grace learning about the layers of the earth!

Mardi Gras!

The Razza family helped us celebrate Mardi Gras with beads and coloring pages. This holiday tradition is special in their family. Thanks for sharing this holiday with us!

Pat on the back celebration!

We made Valentine cookies today to celebrate filling our penny jar for the second time! Many thanks go to Mrs Razza who managed to help the children select their books for their book envelopes AND set up, roll and bake cookies with small groups of children. It was an all day affair topped off with a fire drill when it was finally time to eat them!  Good times!
